About Us
John Brakatselos is a member of the lending team and focuses on the firm’s origination and execution efforts. Prior to Spectra, Mr. Brakatselos was VP of Real Estate Credit Investment at Exos Financial, where he spearheaded origination, underwriting, capital markets, and asset management activities for the firm’s commercial real estate debt fund. He previously worked at Freddie Mac as a senior underwriting associate, where he underwrote and closed over $500MM in loans collateralized by multifamily and mixed-use assets. Prior to that, Mr. Brakatselos worked at Arbor Realty Trust analyzing and monitoring multifamily, commercial, self storage and hospitality assets across a $2B loan portfolio. Mr. Brakatselos graduated from Brown University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts degree.
